CFA was notified at 13:27 to reports of a smoke sighted from a fire tower.
Crews found a grass and scrub fire spreading.
The scene was declared under control at 2.51pm, with the fire having burnt approximately 161 hectares.
An Watch and Act was issued to the community which has since been downgraded to an Advice message.
23 CFA vehicles are currently on scene with support from FFMVic.
Earlier:
AN advice message has been issued for Apsley, Edenhope, Langkoop, Patyah.
- There is a grassfire at Mundarra Estate Road, Mundarra that is not yet under control.
- Fire fighters are responding to this fire.
- The fire is travelling is a westerly direction and is south of the Wimmera Highway.
There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and monitor conditions.

- Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
