Stepping Stones To Small Business training program is being offered to women across the Wimmera Region during 2022 in partnership with the Wimmera Development Association and the Wimmera Neighbourhood House Network.
Program regional coordinator Deborah Klein said she was actively recruiting women to participate.
"Stepping Stones has the potential to assist women across your region to strengthen their community links and begin to build toward their dreams," she said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Ms Klein will be visiting Horsham Neighbourhood House again early in February to present an informational session for women wanting to know more about Stepping Stones.
The program is free for women with migrant or refugee backgrounds, or women over 50.
Ms Klien said the program is free and open to all women ready to look further into heading into business.
"It's open to any woman who is interested in developing confidence to move on her dreams," she said.
"Who wants to reconnect into a community who will support and provide her advice and challenge and support her to pursue her dreams; it's a great place to test out some ideas and learn some of the disciplines you'll need for a small business."
The training covers a variety of subjects, such as creating goals, time management and presentation tips.
'It's interactive, it's not just shop and talk," she said.
"The women's own stories, needs and feedback tend to drive the pace."
Ms Klein said there is also ongoing mentorship support once the training is complete.
"There is total surround support," she said.
"There will be one to one support for women who are ready to work directly on their business."
The information session will be held at Horsham Neighbourhood House on Monday, February 7 from 5pm to 6.30pm.
The training sessions will be run online due to the scope of locations.
