UPDATE, 3.30pm:
The grass-scrub fire burning on Nhill-Harrow Road has been placed under control.
A CFA spokesperson said a stop was placed on the incident at 3pm, with crews remaining on scene to conduct blacking out activities.
"CFA were called to reports of a grass fire at 1:53 pm on Nhill-Harrow Road," the spokesperson said.
"Six CFA trucks and volunteer firefighters from Diapur, Lawlott, Winiam, Woorak and Nhill brigades responded to the incident, along with FFMVic crews and appliances."
EARLIER, 2.30pm:
The threat has been reduced for the fire burning on Fergusons Road in Poolaijelo.
A grass-scrub fire is still not yet under control on Nhill-Harrow Road, with at least six vehicles in attendance.
Nhill - Harrow Road has been blocked, with aircraft inbound to provide assistance.
A lightning strike is believed to have cause the fire.
The fire on Plantation Track in Wail has been declared under control.
1.30pm:
EMERGENCY services are responding to a series of fires across West Wimmera, concentrated around the Little Desert National Park and the South Australian border.
Fires have been reported on Plantation Track in Wail, Fullers Road in Nurcong and Nhill-Harrow Road in the Little Desert National Park.
Two smaller fires have also been reported on Fergusons Road in Poolaijelo, towards the South Australian border.
This comes after reports of a high level of lightning activity in the region.
A Watch and Act warning has been issued for Dergholm, Dorodong, Poolaijelo, Powers Creek.
Residents are asked to monitor changes, including increased wind speed, change in wind direction, smoke or poor visibility that indicates the situation is changing.
