A CFA spokesperson said CFA was notified at 2.56pm to reports of a grass fire along the Western Highway at Drung.
On arrival, crews found a paddock fire spreading.
An advice message was issued for the local community.
11 CFA vehicles are on scene, with air support assisting.
The scene was declared under control at 3.52pm, with approximately 16 hectares burnt.
The cause is under investigation.
Earlier:
CFA vehicles are responding to two grass fires just outside of Horsham.
One on the Western Highway near Green Lake on Ballyglunin North Road, and just off the Western Highway on Northern Grampians Road.
Both fires were reported just before 3pm on Sunday, January 16.
It is also believed there is heavy smoke at the fires.
Several vehicles are responding to the Northern Grampians Road fire.
