Grampians Health Service incident coordinator Matthew Hadfield said no decisions have been made about visitor restrictions for aged care.
"But visitor restrictions are one of the things we will be considering," he said.
Mr Hadfield said vaccinations are paramount for protecting the older population.

"As soon as possible everyone needs to be vaccinated and everyone needs their booster," he said.
Mr Hadfield said the health services will announce visitor restrictions if they do come about.

One facility that has had to restrict visitors is Trinity manor at Sunnyside Lutheron Retirement Village.
The over 70 room facility, Trinity Manor, have two positive cases; a 93-year-old resident and one staff member have tested positive to COVID-19 via a rapid antigen test on Tuesday, January 18.
Chief executive officer Denise Hooper said they are currently in the process of testing all staff and residents with a rapid antigen test and follow-up with a PCR test.
"At this stage, there is no evidence that anyone else has been infected, but we are taking every precaution, as directed by Health authorities, to monitor all our residents and staff for any indications of the virus spreading," she said.
Trinity Manor will be closed to all visitors during this outbreak.
Ms Hooper assured the facility is doing everything it can to protect residents.
"I want to reassure residents and families that our dedicated staff are doing everything possible to protect the people in our care," she said.
"Never before has it been so important for us to deliver the highest level of protection and support to people at this vulnerable state of their life."
