The crash occurred when a Quantong woman, 32, was entering the highway from Asplins Road about 10am.
The woman, 32, allegedly failed to give way to the Natimuk man's car on the highway.
Horsham Highway Patrol Senior Constable Shane Dignan said the Natimuk driver, 41, then lost control of his vehicle. He drove into a fence and then into a tree.
An ambulance took the man to Horsham's Wimmera Base Hospital with possible neck injuries.
There was severe damage to his car.
The woman was not injured and there was minor damage to her car.
Sen Const Dignan urged people to stay safe on the roads.
"People have got to take care,'' he said.
"There was good visibility, it was just that the driver was not concentrating."
On Thursday there were two crashes in Stawell, both caused by drivers failing to give way.
