Ararat star nominates for AFL mid season draft
Ararat co-coach, goal-kicking star and ex-AFL player, Tom Williamson has nominated for the AFL mid-season draft.

Williamson played 44 games with Carlton from 2017 to 2022 before retiring due to personal reasons.
He returned to his hometown of Ararat, pulling on the red and white for their Wimmera Football Netball Club senior side, and has been a dominant force since.
Williamson played 18 games for Ararat in 2023, booting 36 goals and featuring in the best players seven times.
As co-coach, the following season he played 19 games, and kicked 66 majors, including a couple in the Grand Final, which his side won, going back-to-back from 2023.
He also claimed Ararat's best and fairest that season, along with the league's best and fairest in the Toohey Medal.
After his win, Williamson acknowledged the integral part the club has played in his life after a challenging time for him in Melbourne.
The draft will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from 6.30pm.
