The team from Australian Open 2026 will be in town in search of aspiring ballkids.

Natimuk Tennis Club will host a trial running from 6pm till 7.30pm this Friday May 9 for tennis enthusiasts aged from 12 to 15.

"After the players, the ballkids are the heroes of the Australian Open," Tennis Australia's Carla Alderuccio said.

"Throughout May and June over 2000 ballkid hopefuls will participate in trials across the state.

"From May 3 until June 1, level one trials will be held at 20 tennis clubs across Victoria, followed by level two trials for returning and successful level one ballkids on July 19 and 20."

Intending participants are asked to register before Friday's session by emailing carla.alderuccio@tennis.com.au.
