A four-week basketball for people of all abilities program commenced last Wednesday at Donald Community Precinct, and it's not too late to join in.

Donald High School staff and students are facilitating this popular activity with great support from the Donald Amateur Basketball Association (DABA), which has kindly supplied the venue and equipment.

Rhonda Allan of Mallee Sports Assembly once again liaised with DABA member Kath Campbell and staff from Donald High School to make the necessary arrangements.

Allan attended the first session, attended by a good crowd attended.

The first session included a warm-up, ball drills, dribbling, shooting goals and hand control of the ball.

There was plenty of energy burned during the session.

Each week, staff and clients from McCallum Day Services in St Arnaud and Woodbine in Warracknabeal, plus other community members, will attend to enjoy the opportunity to play basketball.

Donald Amateur Basketball Association is once again supporting inclusive sport and recreation.

This program is an initiative of the Access for All Abilities program (funded by Sport and Recreation of Victoria), which focuses on inclusive sport and recreation for all levels of abilities.

These programs are always open for anyone who would like to attend, with the attitude "the more the merrier".
