Class was in session again for classmates at SS Michael and John's Primary School (1970 to 1976) and St Brigid's College (1977 to 1982) as they got together to remember the old times recently.

Held at the Exchange Hotel and organised by Damian Kennedy (Kanga) and Paul Magee (Oscar), the catch-up proved to be a fabulous get-together for both Horsham locals and those who travelled from the region, throughout Victoria and interstate.

On Sunday, October 26, the gates of St Brigid's College were opened for ex-pupils and friends to visit.

Classmates relived the exciting lunchtimes and recesses by playing Four Square precariously close to the staff room window, while others opted to tan their legs in the yard, just as they used to.

The visit, which college principal Gerard Raven permitted, gave attendees an appreciation for the additional buildings and renewal projects that have been carried out since their last visit to the facility.

It was hailed as an insightful trip down memory lane, with many stories coming out.

During the visit, attendees spent some time gathered around the memorial plaque, still preserved, remembering classmate Ann Buwald, who passed away in 1978 as a result of a horse riding accident.

Other classmates have since passed away, and they are also remembered in fond recollections.
