Following on from the Recycle Exhibition, Artists are preparing for the Southern Mallee Cooperative Parish-hosted Exhibition, “All Things Bright and Beautiful”.

Local Artists are joining with Artists from Mildura to Melbourne and all over the state to showcase their creative abilities as they explore their vision of the theme.

Exhibition organiser Susan Pearse said she’s overwhelmed with the involvement of the people.

“I am just glad people are getting involved,” she said.

“My main expectation is that locals and others have a chance to display their work, and I hope that in the preparation, people think about the theme.”

Various creative media will be on show, from sculpture, photography, embroidery, painting, woodwork, and more.

Ms Pearse believed that the guest photographer would be the highlight of the evening.

“For people to come and enjoy and be stimulated to think on the theme,” she said.

“The guest artist is photographer, Rev Gordon Wild, from Carisbrook.

“He will speak briefly at the Opening and mayor Kylie Zanker will officially open it.”

There will be over 100 entries or pieces of art, ranging from Sculpture to photography, paintings, and embroidery.

Registrations haven’t closed yet and people can still submit until Wednesday, September 17.

Corrong Village and Saint Joseph’s Primary School will also be contributing artwork to the Exhibition.

Ms Pearse has a simple message for the visitors: “Come, enjoy, and be surprised by the variety and quality of the Art exhibited.”

This Exhibition will open on Friday, September 19 at 7.30pm and will run until September 25 at the Powerhouse Arts Studio, Hopetoun and any enquiries can be made to Susan Pearse on 0403 760 326.

This Exhibition will be followed in October by an Exhibition of Art from Hopetoun P-12 College.
