The rain continues to fail to fall, so our poor old course gets browner and browner.

The only upside being that we are going to save a fortune on mower maintenance.

Adding to the dry conditions, our golfers were to be harassed by a plague of flies of near biblical proportions and this is despite the blustery conditions.

So how is it that a stiff breeze can and happily will deviate my golf ball (that weighs 50 grams) 30 metres offline, yet that same wind won’t shift a fly that is buzzing around my head and that weighs less than half of one tenth of a gram?
