Gibson wins stroke event
Phillip Gibson had a day out last Saturday afternoon, playing well for most of the day apart from one hole where he had three shots, a miss and a putt.
Bev Appledore tees off.
Apparently on the practice swing he didn’t hit the overhead branch on the backswing but, alas, on the real swing he hit the branch and put himself off completely, missing the ball for an airy.
Rod Gardam was runner-up and no one got nearest the pins.
No ladies got nearest the pins either, but Bev Appledore won the stableford event ahead of Gaye Bardell.
