On Tuesday, February 24, P-10 had Buddies. Luca, Lilly, and Olivia ran the buddy session, coming up with a fun activity involving one of our school values - Respect.

Students broke off into groups and were asked a few questions to learn about one another.

They then made a paper chain, where they put information about themselves on pieces of paper and joined them together, which is now on display in the Central Hub.

On Wednesday, February 25, Marley and Harvey travelled down to Horsham to represent the Southern Mallee Cluster at the Primary Little Desert Swimming Carnival.

Then on February 26, Lena, Toby, Olivia, Ava, Elka, Mia, Denzel, Ned, and Layla C represented our College at the Secondary Little Desert Swimming Carnival in Horsham.

The Year 9 and 10 students spent the morning assisting the primary students to clean up our school grounds and the Recreation Reserve as part of Clean Up Australia Day

. The day started with students forming groups and taking a Kahoot to help them think about Clean Up Australia Day.

After that, students broke off into their groups to start cleaning up the school grounds and the Recreation Reserve.

After the cleaning was finished, students were lucky enough to get a Zooper Dooper as a reward. Special thanks to Steve and Jade for coming to help the students, and to the teachers and students who participated.

Last Friday, our Year 6 students, Matilda, Jessica, Krystal, and Braxton, attended the Country Education Partnership Leadership Day at Lake Lascelles. They participated in a variety of activities with Year 6 students from our cluster to further develop their leadership skills.

Next Tuesday, March 17, our school is hosting Harmony Day during periods 3 and 4.

Each year level is assigned to a country and will run a fun activity, based on its theme, to engage the whole school, including cultural performances.

As part of these celebrations, the school is also acknowledging the donation of a Lone Pine seedling from MP Jade Benham.

This year's theme for the Year 10 and 11 Presentation Ball is Country Road. Participants have continued to practice every week in preparation for the Ball, which will be held in 2 weeks, on the 27th of March, at the Hopetoun Memorial Hall.

As the event approaches, students have been enthusiastically learning all 4 dances, choosing the music for the night, and getting the final few things ready for the official night. The students participating are getting increasingly excited for the event and are all loving their dance lessons, with lots of laughter and enjoyment.
