Horsham City win Cup Day tournament
Horsham City Bowling Club held its Capitis Cup Day Two-bowl Triples Tournament on Tuesday, with a Horsham City team running out winners.
Gary Knight, Ron Hallam and Graeme McDonald (s) topped this year's Melbourne Cup Day bowls tournament at Horsham Bowls Club.
Bowlers played three games of 10 ends to decide the winners.
At the end of the day only one had won three games.
The winners were the Horsham City team of Graeme McDonald (s), Ron Hallam and Gary Knight.
Runners-up was a team from Coughlin Park of Gary Rainsford (s), Vince Anton and Ray Watson.
Club president John Williams said that although the weather was a bit chilly, the players enjoyed a great afternoon of bowls and also enjoyed the tradition of Melbourne Cup Day.
