Horsham Croquet Club celebrates new life members
Horsham Croquet Club welcomed three long-serving members to life memberships on Saturday May 31.

Lyn Creasy, Donna Frost and Jenny Pipkorn were commemorated for their memberships with an afternoon tea.
Ella Lister, a former member, was awarded a certificate of appreciation for her various contributions to the club.
Lyn Creasy has been a club member for 20 years and served as vice-president for six years, taking on many duties in her time.
As well as working on the catering, handicap and grounds and equipment committees, Lyn gained accreditations as a referee and coach, and served as referee liaison officer for 10 years, refereeing tournaments across Victoria and other states.
Lyn has also held executive positions with the Wimmera Croquet Association as both president and vice-president over a number of years.
Donna Frost held executive positions over a 17-year period, including seven years as president and seven years as treasurer.
Donna has also been the club delegate to the Wimmera Croquet Association for many years, serving as the association executive for 11 years in numerous roles.
Additionally, Donna has played a vital role in introducing people to the club, including assisting with newcomer tournaments, organising and running school group programs and come-and-try days, and teaching new croquet players.
Jenny Pipkorn has held positions such as club secretary for five years and assistant secretary for one year, and has been part of various club committees, such as the catering, match and Greens and grounds committees.
Jenny regularly assists in the organisation and preparation of special events, and successfully attaining many grants to assist the club.
Ella Lister was a club member for 20 years, and served as president three times and secretary on five different occasions, as well as taking on various other roles such as vice-president and tournaments manager.
Ella was also on the handicap committee and was the Wimmera Croquet Association secretary for two years.
Horsham Croquet Club is open to new players and members, offering a learning session each Tuesday at 1pm.
