Horsham man dreams of travelling the country after big lotto win
A Horsham local is set to embark on exciting new adventures after winning $15 million in Oz Lotto.
The lucky man held one of two division one winning entries in draw 1642 on Tuesday, August 5.
Immediately following the draw, the Horsham man received the good news from a Lott official; however, he admitted he was hesitant to answer the call.
"Thank you! It's a shock! I'm sweating like anything," he said.
"I'm glad I answered this call. I looked at the number, and I've been ignoring a lot of calls because they're mostly scams, but something made me think I'd better answer this one."
The winner revealed a long-held belief in his eventual win.
"Honestly, I always thought I was going to win. Ever since I was in my 20s, I've thought, 'one day I'm going to win'. It's just taken a while!"
His immediate plans include helping his children and grandchildren pay off their homes.
Beyond that, he dreams of travelling the country.
"A new car and caravan are what I want so we can do a few trips, maybe eventually do a lap around Australia," he said.
The winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website. The winning numbers were 11, 32, 40, 42, 38, 29, and 34, with supplementary numbers 15, 3, and 47.
