Hosts lose tight match
Hopetoun defeated Rainbow 4-12 (64-68) in the ninth round of the North Wimmera Weekend Pennant Division One, despite the hosts securing wins in two rinks during the weekend's match.

On rink one, A Sluggett, C Cook, W Nitschke and D Cook lost to W Gould, L Fuller, T Huf and R Huf 21-30.
Rink two saw A Thomas, C Gebert, A Martion, and S Cocks defeat T Landrigan, D McGee, S Macklin, and D Burdett 21-19.
C Drendel, F Mellington, E Fuller, and R McLean defeated G Cox, D Watson, K Robins and M Reid on rink three 22-19.
Meanwhile, Murtoa lost to Warracknabeal Golf White 0-16 (66-93), Rupanyup claimed victory against Rupanyup 16-0 (126-38), and Warracknabeal downed Beulah 14-2 (80-61).
After nine rounds, Warracknabeal still holds on to first place with 138 points (+321), with Warracknabeal Golf White (107, +132) and Rupanyup (105, +187) fighting for second spot.
Beulah (73, +90), Rainbow (52, -66), Hopetoun (47, -213), Murtoa (38, -66), and Warracknabeal Golf Blue (16, -385) round out the ladder.
In Division two, Hopetoun lost to Warracknabeal 2-14 (63-81), Brim lost to Beulah 0-16 (56-77), and Minyip defeated Murtoa 16-0 (86-44).
Warracknabeal still leads with 136 points (+423), followed by Beulah (95, +73), Minyip (82, +59), Brim (50, -105), Murtoa (50, -144) and Hopetoun (19, -306).
