Last Stand makes new stand
SEEKING to relaunch this weekend at the Bull and Mouth will be the band, ‘Last Stand’, with a revised set list including old favourites and new songs.

Guitarist Greg Radford said the band had recently taken an extended hiatus due to some members battling health and personal issues, and then needing to find replacements to keep the music going.
He was pleased to report they were back doing what they loved.
“This will be our 27th year,” Radford said.
“We’ve just got a new drummer (Mick Powell) and bass player (Tim Batchelor).”
With about eight months of rehearsing, he said the band was looking forward to playing again, despite the set list being “a bit calmer than we used to do”, although AC/DC, KISS and Tom Petty were still going to make an appearance.
“We do Matchbox 20 and those sorts of pub songs, the ones that get the crowd going,” Radford said.
“Plus we chuck in a lot of old songs too that people love – Billy Thorpe, ‘Most people I know Think I'm Crazy’ – everyone knows it and they all love it, and ‘Stuck In The Middle’, that old tune, that's always good.”
He said he remembered the music scene at Horsham going years back and lamented the effect the COVID years had on it.
“People can't afford to go out much anymore, but the live scene before COVID in Horsham was great, and the Bull and Mouth has always been a great supporter of ours,” Radford said.
“We used to be the resident band there, and so they've said, come back and have a crack and see what happens.
“So here we go!”
He said he remembered the active live scene in Horsham years back, and remembered travelling all over Western Victoria – and beyond.
“We were playing from Horsham up to Mildura, down to Portland, across to the furthest west we got was Kangaroo Island," Radford said.
"We've supported Jimmy Barnes when he came into town – it was a great time, because (in) the live scene, everyone wanted a band, and it's always a lot of hard work, but it's so rewarding.”
Last Stand will be at the Bull and Mouth Hotel on Wilson Street from 8.30pm on Saturday, November 15.
