Man charged Western Highway crash
A Victorian man is scheduled to appear in court later this month regarding a fatal collision on the Western Highway in 2025.

Victoria Police’s Major Collision Investigation unit detectives charged a 52-year-old Corio man with three counts of dangerous driving causing death following a fatal multi-vehicle collision in Armstrong, between Great Western and Ararat.
A police spokesperson alleged that two cars, a B-double, and two smaller trucks were involved in a collision on the highway near the intersection of Thomas Road at about 12.30pm on May 28, 2025.
Two occupants of an Isuzu van, a 49-year-old man from Lyndhurst and his 24-year-old woman from Clyde North, died at the scene.
The driver of a Toyota Kluger, a 65-year-old South Australian man, also died at the scene.
The driver of the semi-trailer, a 63-year-old Horsham man, and driver of a Volvo XC40, an 83-year-old Geelong woman, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of an Isuzu small truck, a 52-year-old Corio man, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The Corio man was bailed and will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 16.

Apology
On Wednesday, March 11, Victoria Police published a media release which stated a 63-year-old Horsham man had been charged in relation to the Armstrong triple fatal.
This was incorrect.
A Victoria Police spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience caused.
