Man in the corner: Saints Nail the No-Bag Challenge
Man in the corner: The Saints' senior netballers took to the court on Saturday with grit, grace - and a bird cage.

Tasked with the now-infamous “Anything but a Bag” challenge, the changerooms looked less like a sporting arena and more like a garage sale gone rogue. One rolled in with a clothes horse, netball dresses pegged with military precision. Another rocked up with a guitar case - no tunes, just bibs and blister tape.
But the man in the corner had to do a double-take when a Woolies basket came in casually swinging a like it was designer leather. No receipt. Just confidence.
Then came the pièce de résistance: an empty beer box turned kit carrier, taped with the kind of care usually reserved for house moves and fragile parcels.
They may have been playing for points, but they scored high in creativity—and left the man in the corner wondering if next week the footballers would ditch their duffle bag for a toolbox or fishing tacklebox and join the trend.
