Monthly market suspended

The Hopetoun Market has announced it will suspend its monthly events after struggling to attract enough stallholders, following a disappointing turnout on Sunday, September 21.

Only seven stalls were set up at the weekend market, prompting organisers to make the difficult decision to call a halt to future dates.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the organisers said they regretted the move but felt it was necessary.

“We regret to advise that, due to ongoing difficulties in securing enough stallholders, Hopetoun Market will not be holding any future monthly markets at this time,” they said.

“This decision has not been made lightly, and we are taking this opportunity to review the best way forward to ensure the market remains vibrant and sustainable for all involved.

"We truly appreciate your support and understanding, and we will keep you updated as plans develop."
