Nhill goes down to Stawell
Nhill were defeated by the lower-seeded Stawell on Saturday in round 14 of the Wimmera Football Netball League.
It was a tight contest between Stawell and Nhill at Central Park, with the Warriors walking away with the win.
There wasn't much in it for the entire match, with Nhill leading by just a couple of points at both the end of the first quarter and at half-time before the scores were even heading into the final term.
It was the Warriors who had a better finish, though, with final scores being the home side 5.11 (41) to Nhill 5.6 (36).
Darcy Honeyman and Frazer Driscoll were best on ground in the losing team while Drew Schneider was the only multiple goal scorer with a couple of majors.
For the Warriors, Zachary Marrow got the nod for the best player, with Lucky Ika and captain Sam Williams contributing a couple of goals each.
