The Bombers kicked 14.11 (95) to Pimpinio’s 5.7 (37).

Noradjuha Quantong dominated possession and territory in the opening quarter but struggled to convert their early chances, kicking nine behinds as they took a 15-1 lead into the first break.

The Bombers kicked three straight goals before some resistance from Pimpinio kept them in the game, Noradjuha Quantong leading 40-16 at half-time.

A hard-fought third quarter helped Pimpinio keep within reach, but a flurry of goals to Noradjuha Quantong late in the term allowed them to take a 64-30 lead heading into the fourth.

The Bombers stamped their authority in the last quarter, kicking five goals to finish with a comprehensive 58-point victory.

Noradjuha Quantong’s Connor O’Bierne was named best on ground, leading his side with four goals.

Shane Oakley, Xavier Pumpa and Jake Myerscrough were also among the best for the Bombers.

For Pimpinio, Thomas Naylor, Jaydon Walters and Connor O’Dwyer impressed with their performances.

Brent McIntyre, co-coach of Noradjuha Quantong, said the premiership was a just reward for the playing group and also served as some redemption after a disappointing finals series last year.

“After going out in straight sets last year, a few of us older boys got together and said 'We don’t want to do that again',” McIntryre said.

“We let it slip last year and were right up there to win it so we sort of redeemed ourselves this year.

"That’s probably more reward for effort.”

McIntyre said he was proud of how the side played in the second half, describing it as a reflection of the hard work the team had put into the season.

“The boys got a bit of a spray just before the third quarter, just because we dropped our heads and the intensity dropped,” McIntyre said.

“But they lifted, especially when Pimpinio had the wind in the third.

“In that last quarter we finished off really strong, which comes from fitness, our big preseason and training twice a week throughout the year.”
