Pools opening date changed
Behind the scenes, Hindmarsh Shire Council staff have been diligently preparing for the 2025 pool season.
Their efforts have included recruiting lifeguards, refreshing facilities, and filling the pools, ensuring everything is in place for a safe and enjoyable summer.
With early November bringing cooler-than-usual weather and another week of low temperatures forecast, council has moved the opening date for all outdoor pools to Saturday, November 22, weather permitting.
The decision will allow the water to warm up and ensure conditions are inviting for swimmers when the gates open.
The council will reassess the weather at the end of the season and may extend operations for an additional week if conditions permit.
The pool team says they are looking forward to welcoming the community back for another season.
