Raceway honours season's best
After another season of success, Blue Ribbon Raceway, in conjunction with Horsham Motor Sports Club Inc, held its awards night recently.
A number of presentations were made during the night, including class championships and committee and volunteer appreciation awards.
The annual dinner and awards were held at the Kalkee Football Club clubrooms and followed a family fun day.
The awards were:
- class champions – Production Sedans: Peter Dowling; Quarter Midgets: Reed Muller; V8 Trucks: Dean Thomas; 1200 Juniors: Archie Thomas
- club champion – Peter Dowling; runner-up – Reed Muller
- most improved – Corey Quick (Formula 500)
- best drive (home) – Reed Muller (JQMV Quarter Midgets series round)
- best drive (away) – Archie Thomas (junior title – Daylesford)
- hard luck Award – Max Hughes
- best presented – Peter Dowling
- junior encouragement awards – Archie Thomas, Aury Muller, Charlie Simpson, Jack Mills, Jed Simpson, Kylie Burridge, Max Hughes, Ollie Mills, Rebecca Johnstone and Reed Muller
- appreciation – committee: Bob Baldock and Rod Berry
- appreciation – volunteers: Chris O’Toole, Dave McCulloch, Wizza Muller
- appreciation – volunteers (junior): Rebecca Johnstone
- outstanding volunteer – Michelle Simpson
