Rainbow Show was a success
Rainbow came alive for its 113th Annual Show on Tuesday, October 14, at the Rainbow Recreation Reserve with colour, smiles, demonstrations and community spirit.

Rainbow A & P Society’s president Fred Saul was satisfied with the show overall.
“I was happy with the attendance and with the show,” he said.
“Times had sort of been tough this year, but the show’s still holding its own.
“We had 1500 entries in the shed, which was nearly average, it might have been down just a very small amount, but pretty good overall."
He said the shearing display is always popular among the visitors.
“The shearing display is always good,” he said.
“The shed is always just outstanding for a small town like Rainbow and the town’s people really need to be commended for the efforts they put into the plays in the sheders too.
“Overall, I’m pretty happy, considering we’ve had a pretty tight year in the agricultural sector around Rainbow.”
The showgirl event, animal nursery, horse carriage rides and the grand parade were the eye-catching events at the show.
The show also had different prizes for the exhibitors and the best dressed-up visitors among different age categories.
According the Mr Saul, the kids were happy to see Lamborghini at the show.
"There was a very small car display and there was a Lamborghini display from Horsham,” he said.
“That was pretty special.”
The vice president of the Wimmera Shows Association, Nicole Nunn opened the Show at the Rainbow Oval, while Hindmarsh Shire Council mayor Ron Ismay also attended the show.
Mr Saul thanked the volunteers to make the show happened again this year.
“As always, we couldn’t do without the volunteers,” he said.
“Our committee is getting smaller and we get a lot of help from volunteers that are not necessarily part of the committee and without them it couldn’t happen.”
