"We were brainstorming for ages, and nothing was really clicking," said Ms Eckermann.

The students make the lip balm themselves in the school's multipurpose building and sell each for $3.

While their main goal is to learn and earn a little, the group also aims to solve a common student issue.

The team is also looking to expand its ventures.

Their message to the community is simple: "If you've got chapped lips, give Chapped a go."

Interested community members can contact the school to make a purchase.
