Rebels looking to bounce back
GWV Rebels will be looking to bounce back tomorrow against the Western Jets after another close and disappointing loss last weekend.

For the second consecutive week the GWV Rebels boys lost by less than a goal after being in front at three-quarter-time.
“We just lacked concentration for a short amount of time throughout the game and don’t respect how important fundamentals are and the opposition teams capitalise and kick goals during that time," Rebels talent lead Brooke Brown said.
"It was great to review the game and look at all of the things we're doing well and hopefully we're able to clean up the key areas that are letting us down at the moment."
Brown said this Sunday’s game would be crucial for the Rebels and the Jets as both teams looked for their second win of the 2025 season.
The Rebels will welcome back the Burmeister brothers (Floyd and Sinclair) and Archie Taylor and are excited to see young player Lenny Stephens (Camperdown) make his Coates Talent League debut.
“We're really excited for Lenny Stephens," Brown said.
"Last weekend he was named the Hampden League senior player of the week so he fully deserves this opportunity at Coates Talent League level.
"We're also excited to see Archie Taylor back after a stint on the sidelines with an injury.”
The game will take place at Mars Stadium, Wendouree, beginning at 11am.
It will be streamed live on the Coates Talent League app and updates will be given via the Rebels social media channels throughout the game.
The squad announced on Friday comprises Wil Rantall, Brodie Phillips, Patrick Toner, Ollie Pittard, Archie Taylor, Floyd Burmeister, Ethan Drever, Wilbur Shea, Dean Harten, Talor Byrne, Sinclair Burmeister, Drew Harris, Harley Hicks, Joe McGuane, Sam Marris, Archie Elliott, Chad Finck, Charlie McKinnon, Cooper Glenwright-McGuane, Lenny Stephens, Flynn Penry, Fraser Molan and Jett Grayland.
