They experienced almost immediate success, claiming three football premierships in seniors in their first four years in the league.

Back in their first match, Dimboola was convincingly defeated by Minyip Murtoa, 3.5 (23) to 18.15 (123), as John Hotker booted nine goals for the new side.

Interestingly, back then the gate takings were reported along with match results, and according to the Mail-Times then, for the Dimboola verses Minyip Murtoa game, the figure totalled $1170.

The club established a mission of being a fully inclusive football/netball club, instilling quality values through the ranks, from juniors to seniors and to their supporters, through their leadership.

The Burras pride themselves on providing an environment that is friendly, fun and safe for people to enjoy interactions both socially and in sport.

Their motto is: Our Club, Our Community, Our Family.

Now, the Burras consist of eight levels of football and nine grades of netball.

Football numbers have been bolstered by the inclusion of a senior football team for women this season.

The addition joins seniors, reserves, Under 17s, Under 14s, Under 11s and Under 8s, along with Auskick.

On the netball side, Burras are represented in A grade, B, C, C reserve, Under 17s, Under 15s, Under 13s and Net Set Go.

The Burras launched their 30th-anniversary bib and jumper ahead of round one of the Wimmera Football Netball League.

The bibs which will be proudly worn on court by their netballers list the Burra premierships and also feature both the Minyip FNC and Murtoa FNC logos.

The football jumpers list the surnames of every senior footballer and netballer to take to the court/field for Minyip Murtoa over the past 30 years, a list of the club's premierships and, as with the bibs, both the Minyip and Murtoa FNC logos.

The bibs and jumpers are currently being auctioned and bids can be placed by visiting https://app.galabid.com/burras
