Roos overcome Swift stance
Harrow Balmoral recorded a second consecutive come-from-behind win to defeat the Swifts in round six of the Horsham District Football Netball League on Saturday.
The reigning premiers were tested all the way, with the final scores being 9.8 (62) to 8.6 (54) in favour of Harrow.
Harrow Balmoral took an early lead in the first quarter but the Swifts cut the lead to just three at half-time and entered the final term ahead 51-49.
Much like in their round five game against Pimpinio, Harrow Balmoral hit decisive goals in the final term while preventing their opponents kicking any majors.
For the winning team, best players were Jai Thompson and Peter Staude, while Kobe Lowe and Angus Murray were the best players for the Swifts.
Cody Deutscher continued his fine form up forward with five goals (including the game-sealing final goal) while Lowe kicked four for the Swifts.
The result sees Harrow Balmoral remain undefeated as they rise to second place in the standings, while Swifts move to third with four wins and two losses.
