The final score saw Rupanyup kick 9.16 (70) to Edenhope Apsley’s 5.3 (33).

Playing at home, the Panthers were able to create numerous opportunities up front in the opening quarter but struggled to convert, going up 11-7 at the first break.

Edenhope Apsley came out strong after the break, kicking two early goals in the quarter before eventually establishing a 25-18 half-time lead.

But Rupanyup responded immediately, kicking two goals in the first five minutes of the half to retake the lead, going ahead 46-27 at three-quarter-time.

The Panthers asserted their authority over the game to finish 37-point winners.

Halfbacks Daniel Weetra and Adrian Rose were impressive for the winning side while Ryan Obst continued his strong individual season with another good performance for Edenhope Apsley.

Christopher Schaper led the Panthers with three goals while Cameron Domaschenz led the Saints with three of his own.

The victory was Rupanyup’s fourth of the season and makes them two from two since coach Cam Weston said the side was aiming to win their final four games.
