Servo upgrades aging fuel pumps
The Rainbow service station is undergoing fuel pump replacement works, and the new pumps will be operational by the end of this week.

Servo manager John Curren said the existing pumps had been in place for decades and had become unreliable.
"As far as I know, they've been there for a good 20 to 30 years," he said.
"The original pumps were manufactured back in the early '80s – around 1980 to 1983."
Workers replaced the main fuel lines from underground tanks to bowsers.
Two new pumps were installed at the site on Tuesday, May 13.
Each pump has three nozzles that supply unleaded, 98, and diesel fuel.
"The 98 pump stopped pumping fuel out," Mr Curren said.
"The diesel pump ended up just blowing out air and charging you for the air but not giving you any diesel."
He added that the new equipment would help ensure a consistent fuel supply for locals and travellers.
"It'll benefit the whole community because there'll be ample fuel available all the time, without pumps that are playing up all the time," he said.
Mr Curren said the replacement work took only a few weeks, and locals can access the new pumps by the end of this week.
Once complete, both new pumps will dispense unleaded, 98 and diesel fuel.
"They'll be pumps that actually work, so people can guarantee they'll be able to come in and get fuel, all the time," Mr Curren said.
