Taylors Lake FNC took control early, leading 13-7 at the first break.

The team extended its lead to 25-15 by halftime, maintained momentum at 33-27 in the third, and closed out the match 44-36 with a confident final quarter.

Taylors Lake FNC netball coach Sharon Fedke praised her team’s effort and composure after their strong start to the season.

“It feels really good to get the first win,” she said.

“The season came up quickly after pre-season training, but I feel relaxed now that we’ve completed the first round.”

MS Fedke, in her first year coaching the side, worked with a young team and already saw promising results.

“It’s a new young team, and I’ve just started with them,” she said.

“They listen to what I teach and play solid netball. I’ve introduced some new structures, and they’re executing them on the court.”

Ms Fedke praised Kayla Kelm for her standout performance in the centre against Harrow Balmoral’s midfielders.

She also commended Tayla Eltze for her sharp shooting in the goal circle.

“Kayla played an outstanding game in the centre, and Tayla shot really well at the goal,” she said.

Taylors Lake will aim to carry this momentum into their next match as they continue their campaign.
