Connected to Warracknabeal Pharmacy, the cafe has given many their start in the workforce with current staff members Jenny Pitt and Julie Fleming remaining after 10 years.

Announced on Facebook earlier this month, a wave of sympathy was received from the Warracknabeal community and beyond with many expressing their sadness and sharing memories from visiting the business.

"I am so sorry to hear this news, but wish you both well. I remember the excitement of when Pharmacino opened, it was very much appreciated and welcomed by all," Angie Cox commented.

"Best wishes for your next phases in life, and thank you to all staff over the years."

Many thanked the staff members for their morning coffees and friendly interactions.

"I can’t imagine Warracknabeal without Pharmacchino," commented Carol Wilson.

Past employee Mikaela Woods also commented on the announcement stating that she had "So many great memories working there on and off over the years".

The Pharmacy was first located at 64 Scott Street, which is now occupied by Woodbine's Craftworks shop, before then-owner John Aitken shifted the business to its current site at 106 Scott Street.

Cafe Pharmacino began operation in December 1999 with friendly faces Jodie Taylor, Carol Arbuckle, Deb Thewlis and Jenny Huebner ready to welcome customers in.

Over the years, Cafe Pharmacino has hosted many Christmas in July events, Coffee with a Cop, Biggest Morning Tea raffles, and more, becoming a place for the community and visitors to enjoy local hospitality.

The cafe became a place for local John Weier who has decorated the black message board, creating pieces of artwork for all to enjoy during Christmas and Easter periods, and even doing inspirational messages.

Trading will cease after July 25 with the cafe operating from 6.30am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
