The event, organised by U3A’s eight-member committee at the railway station hall, featured homemade food, games, and small gifts for attendees.

U3A publicity officer Joyce Lane described the event as a success.

“It went extremely well,” Ms Lane said.

“Everyone was happy, the food was lovely, and people really appreciated the effort.”

Ms Lane thanked the community for their generosity and for turning out in support of the cause.

“We’re grateful for the support and kind comments from everyone who came along,” she said.
