Volunteers required at Rainbow Rises
The Rainbow and District Landcare Group is seeking up to 40 volunteers to help plant 2,500 plants as part of a planting day on Saturday, July 26.

The planting is out at the Rainbow Rises, the yearly Enduro events site.
The group's president, Bruce Heinrich, stated that fencing and rabbit control are the primary tasks at the site.
"We have been very active working to prepare the site for this planting", he said.
"The main work has been fencing and rabbit control.
"We think we need up to forty people on the day, so anyone who can help will be made most welcome."
The group stated that there is a long-term vision to revegetate areas not used for events with native species that once covered the area, recreating the 'Rainbow' effect of native plants flowering in succession, which is characteristic of a clay lunette.
Food, drinks, and amenities will be supplied on-site, along with transportation out of town if needed.
The volunteers are required to bring their winter clothes, gloves, and a small spade, if available.
The Rainbow Rises site is two kilometres west of Rainbow.
