Warrack deb couples presented

Warracknabeal Secondary College (WSC) debutants and their partners have been presented at the school's annual ball.

The couples graced the stage of Warracknabeal Town Hall during the event March 2.

Co-ordinated by Sarah-Jayne Holland, the boys' suits were supplied by Geoffrey's Mens and Boyswear, while Brock Lynch and Gabi Powell trained the debs and their partners.

The couples were presented to WSC principal Casey Phelan, invited guest John Bish and school council vice-president Rebecca Lewis.

They performed the Pride of Erin, the Augustine Progressive, the Palmer Waltz, the Lumiere Formation, Modern Jive and the Warrack Stomp, which has become a traditional expectation of the deb ball after Mr Lynch first choreographed the dance 15 years ago.

Family and guests were treated to a surprise performance of the Zorba to match the Grecian theme of the evening.

Evie Moloney, partnered by Josh Hutchinson, wore an A-line debutante gown with a skirt made from soft bridal tulle.

The sheer bodice features a scoop neckline and delicate floral lace and beading that continued over the skirt.

Satine Malcolm, partnered by Jeremy Williamson, wore a simple romantic modern ball gown.

The beaded lace bodice featured sheer sides and back and trailed lace onto the full tulle skirt.

Macie Nitschke, partnered by Jack Conners, wore a princess-style gown with a glittering tulle skirt.

It featured delicate lace on the bodice with straps sweeping over the shoulders and into the V back.

Hannah Zwar, partnered by Nathaniel Borg, wore a princess-style gown with a full tulle skirt.

It featured a delicate lace bodice with wide shoulder straps leading into the V back.

Cienna Richards, partnered by Ezekial Clark, wore an off-the-shoulder satin gown with a box-pleated skirt.

The bodice featured delicate lace and a corset back and was finished with a turned-down panel.

Airlie Garlick, partnered by Lewis Thomson, wore a shoestring-strap gown with a flower bodice of flowers cascading down past the waistline to a plain double tulle skirt.

Rachael Camilleri, partnered by Zachary Allott, wore a dress that featured a sweetheart neckline, with shoestring straps.

The bodice was fully beaded with diamantes that flowed down onto a full tulle skirt

Charlotte McPherson, partnered by Tylah McLean, wore a simple, elegant Mikado satin gown with a flattering waistline and a V-neck with straps and a low back.

Charlotte's gown even had pockets.

Lucy Holland, partnered by Dane George, wore a classically inspired organza gown.

It featured a sheer back with intricate pearl beading along the boning and straps and ruched organza across the front of the bodice.

It included a hint of sparkle in the form of a silver glitter underskirt and also had pockets.

Elsa Byron, partnered by Zachary O’Connor, wore a modern sweetheart gown which featured layers of tulle and a simple beaded belt.

Her gown had tulle straps, a lace and sparkle bodice with a mix of seed and crystal beads, and a waterfall ruffled skirt with a satin underskirt.
