WDGA picks up two thirds with strong Country Week campaign

The Wimmera District Golf Association sent a women’s and a men’s team off to Mildura at the end of September to compete in the prestigious Victorian Country Week golf event, showcasing some strong performances across four days of competition.


The WDGA men's Country Week team of players and caddies comprised Matthew Jakobi (Horsham), Travis Hair, Tex Hernon, Caleb Bretherton (Hall’s Gap), Casey Schmidt (Horsham), Brett Cookson (Horsham), Jack Flavel (Hopetoun), Steven Briggs, Jimmy Philips, Trevor Polkinghorne (Nhill), Lewis Gebert (Horsham), Matthew Morrison (Nhill), Eli Friend and Jeremy Schmidt (Horsham).
