All four of the Bulls' wins this season have come from one-day matches, while each of their three losses has been in a two-day match.
Despite Blackheath-Dimboola's impressive form in the one-day arena this season, Colts put up a brave fight.
They won the toss and elected to bat, but were in trouble early.
Openers Dylan Arnott and Nathan Emmerson were each removed for just two runs, and when Liam Jakobi fell for three runs batting at number four, things looked grim.
Captain Brad Millar has been stellar in another tough year for the Colts and he began to turn the tide in their favour when he came in at number five.
An innings of 37 for Millar included three fours and two sixes, paving the way for Dean Arnott's huge innings of 96 runs.
Arnott blasted 14 boundaries but was cruelly denied a century when bowled by Blackheath-Dimboola's Matt McKinnon.
Colts' total of 7-197 was terrific under the circumstances and gave the bowlers something to defend.
What the team hadn't bargained for was Blackheath-Dimboola's Oliver Young, who was by far the best player on the ground all day.
As a bowler he took 3-32 from 10 overs, but it was with bat in hand that he truly shone.
Young blasted 112 after openers Hamis Exell and Michael Shannon fell, leading his side to victory with three overs to spare.
Lachie Watts teamed up with Young at the crease to make 44 handy runs of his own, taking the team total to 2-211.
Rup-Minyip registered a win against Jung Tigers on the back of another Adam Carter century at Rupanyup.
Carter's unbeaten 112 and 41 runs from Blue Panthers opener Clinton Midgley gave the home side an imposing total of 5-263 from its 40 overs.
Carter has batted four times this season for two centuries and 72 runs against Noradjuha-Toolondo, giving him an average of 113.3.
Despite 78 runs to skipper David Puls and handy contributions from Tyler Neville and Peter Barnett, the Tigers could not reel in Rup-Minyip.
Best bowlers were Shannon Reddie for Jung Tigers and Jamie Byrne for Rup-Minyip.
Noradjuha-Toolondo chased down Laharum's total with more than two overs to spare at Horsham City Oval.
Opener Josh Mahoney's 30, Glenn Doyle's 54 and a handy 25 from wicket-keeper Tom Crawford gave Laharum something to
bowl at, but the team's 37
conceded sundries did not help the cause. David Combe led the Bullants with an innings of 44 not out, while Laharum bowler Damien Bunworth finished with 5-33 in the loss.
Sandy Hodge was the hero for Homers in the first A Grade home and away match played under lights at Horsham City Oval as his team defeated Horsham Saints.
Hodge fell one agonising run short of a century after being bowled by Josh Carroll. A half-century from fellow opener Jason Templeton and 47 from Simon Hopper brought Homers to a total of 4-239.
In reply, the Saints managed just 146 and were bowled out in 25.3 overs.
Craig Britten caused havoc for Homers with a five-wicket haul, while Carroll was the Saints' only multiple wicket-taker with two.
