FIRE-FIGHTERS have stopped the spread of fire at a home in Dimboola.
The Country Fire Authority placed an emergency warning on the town after the fire started at the intersection of Faith Street and Nhill Road.
It has since been downgraded to an advice warning.
Fire crews and vehicles are still controlling the fire and will be in attendance for some time.
Local streets are currently closed.

THE Country Fire Authority has issued an emergency warning for Dimboola.
Emergency services are attending to a house fire at the intersection of Faith Street and Nhill Road.
Embers from the house fire are spotting into neighbouring properties.
Potentially toxic smoke is being released and travelling towards the eastern part of Dimboola.
The CFA has urged people to stay away from the fire area and to stay indoors with all doors, windows and vents closed.
If you cannot leave, take shelter indoors and close all doors, windows and vents. Turn off heating and air condition systems.
