The initiative will see 100 individuals, or teams of up to four women, attempt to raise $100,000 as they walk 100 kilometres from Halls Gap to Horsham on the Anzac Day long weekend.
The money raised will go towards Wimmera projects.
Project manager Andrea Cross said Horsham Sports and Community Club staff member Shaine-Maree Hobbs was the latest entrant in the 100 Chicks walk.
“The club is assisting Shaine-Maree to raise money for her contribution for the event,” she said.
Mrs Cross encouraged anyone interesting in participating in the walk to attend Monday's meeting.
“Footage from a similar event run in Kununurra, Western Australia, will be shown along with a book that was produced from that event,” she said.
Committee member Di Ellifson of Horsham participated in the Kununurra walk and it was her idea to bring it to Horsham.
Mrs Cross said the committee was overwhelmed with support for its Diamond Dig event earlier this month, which gave Wimmera residents the chance to dig for two champagne diamonds and hundreds of other prizes.
She said the information night would be at the group’s office in Horsham Plaza at 7.30pm.
Mrs Cross said people could also visit horshamshow.com.au or www.facebook.100chicksgroup.com to find out more about the walk.
