The night consisted of dinner and a show with traditional Samoan and Tongan cuisine and entertainment.
Rev Tupe Ioelu said the 120 people who attended gained an insight into other cultures.
“They really enjoyed the night and they really enjoyed the meal,” he said.
“It’s good to see other cultures and good to see how other people in the world do things differently.”
Guests were treated to a meal of meat cooked in the ground with potatoes and taro, a root vegetable served throughout the islands, as well as traditionally prepared vegetables and fish in coconut cream.
Dancers with Tongan and Samoan heritage provided the entertainment.
Rev Ioelu said the aim of the night was to show the cultural diversity in Horsham, both within and outside the church.
“The whole idea is that we just want to present something different, maybe something that people have never experienced before,” he said.
