Brent Penny and Tim Cogger each booted five goals for Harrow-Balmoral, and Callum Hobbs dominated in the midfield.

Hamish Ellis was also good in his first game for the year.

Noradjuha-Quantong's Sam Weddell was able to hold his head high with a stellar five-goal performance, but was the team's only multiple goal kicker.

Jason Kerr and Nathan Byrne never stopped trying, but the side was well beaten.

Combe said it was hard to pinpoint specific things that went wrong for the Bombers.

"They're a quality football team and they'll be tough to beat they had winners all over the ground," he said.

"Losing our first two games of the season really puts the pressure on us now.

"The only good thing is that we identified Harrow-Balmoral as a possible top-two side at the start of the year, so it's not as if we're being beaten by lesser teams."

Roos coach Brent Forsyth said he still saw plenty of scope for improvement.

"We put the cue in the rack a bit in the second quarter and I needed to address that at half-time, but after that I thought we responded really well," he said.
