Lloyd, 20, started as the Swans’ substitute and was introduced into the game at the three-quarter time break.
The midfielder, who wore number 44, said securing a win against the Dockers was the ideal result.
“We’ve been under a bit of pressure lately so it was good to play in a good win,” Lloyd said.
“The team really stood up, I think. We’ve copped a bit of criticism so it was good to come back like that.”
Lloyd, who was selected by the Swans with pick 15 in the 2013 Rookie Draft, said starting as the substitute was a foreign feeling.
“It’s something I’ve never experienced, but you’ve just got to stay involved on the bench and talk to the guys who are coming off,” he said.
“I can’t really describe it. You’re full of adrenaline and just want to get that first touch.”
Lloyd finished with four possessions after setting up a Lance Franklin goal early in the final term.
He said he would have to keep doing the right things to maintain his spot in a strong Swans line-up.
“I’ve got to keep playing my role, training hard and giving myself the best opportunity to stay in there,” he said.
“Obviously I didn’t expect this so early in the season, but now I’ve got the opportunity it would be great to keep it.”
