NORADJUHA-QUANTONG coach Jarred Combe was far from satisfied with his side’s 81-point win against Rupanyup at the weekend.
The Bombers got their season heading in the right direction again by holding the Panthers goal-less in the first half.
Jason Kerr’s superb run of form continued with another dominant midfield display.
Kerr has been named Noradjuha-Quantong’s best player in four of the side’s five matches this season.
The Bombers were also given reason to smile by two young debutants – Jack Vague and McCallum Sanders.
Sanders booted four goals and was one of the best afield.
The Bombers’ play helped offset the news that star player Brad Couch will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
Rupanyup was held below 30 points for the second consecutive week.
Panthers veterans such as Nathan Sachse and James Delahunty could not get their side into the match.
The final 15.18 (108) to 3.9 (27) score gave the Bombers a big percentage boost, but Combe said his side needed to keep improving if it wanted to play finals.
“Our ball use still probably wasn’t where we want it to be, and the boys know that,” he said.
“We got through with a clean bill of health which is good, because we’ve been losing a few and Couchy is a big loss for us.
"In the end, we were just happy to get the four points.”
