The group is raising money for Ballarat oncologist George Kannourakis, who makes regular trips to the Wimmera.
He co-ordinates cancer research in Ballarat, which largely relies on community funding.
Group member Lee Barber said they were proud to be able to contribute to Professor Kannourakis' research.
"He's the one that comes up here and treats everybody," she said.
"Everybody's got someone in the family who has had cancer and locally it's George they see."
The group has been raising money for about 21 years.
"We started because one of our friend's husband died from cancer and we've been raising money every year since," Mrs Barber said.
The trio donated money to state and national charities until recently, when they decided their efforts could be better directed at raising money to directly benefit the community.
"We were sending the money to Melbourne but we thought why are we sending it to Melbourne? Why aren't we giving it to our own hospital?" Mrs Barber said.
She said Professor Kannourakis was extremely grateful for the group's support.
"He was absolutely delighted when he heard about the fundraiser," she said.
"I said to his secretary, 'it's not going to be millions', but she said,'anything is worth it, it's wonderful'."
Tickets for the raffle are $1.
Prizes include a grocery hamper, a decorated fruitcake and vouchers.
Mrs Barber said they could be bought by calling her on 5381 0159.
The raffle will be drawn on June 6 at Horsham Plaza.
