The Mountain Men thrashed Natimuk United 28.18 (186) to 1.3 (9) at Cameron Oval at Laharum to send their percentage skyrocketing to 349.74.
The reigning premier was ruthless from the start, leading by 125 points at half-time.
A 12-goal-to-zero second term was the highlight. The home team outscored the Rams 78-0 in the quarter.
Wet conditions in the second half meant the margin did not blow out as far as it could have, but Laharum coach Shannon Argall said it was still an impressive performance.
"To hold a side that was high on confidence and looking to test itself against one of the top teams to nine points is obviously a great result for us," he said.
"The fact the second half of the game was played in the wet shows it could have been an even bigger win."
Mountain Man Tom Crawford excelled on the half-back line and was one of the key reasons the Rams only scored one goal for the match.
Laharum got through the match unscathed, and will welcome back Daniel Griffiths on Saturday after he was rested with an ankle complaint.
Ash Pekin turned in his fifth best-on-ground performance for the Rams in nine games, but was unable to turn the tide.
Pekin booted the team's only goal in the third term.
Greg Hamilton has been in stellar form in recent weeks but was held goalless, while coach Tim Friend watched on from the bench with a hamstring injury.
