HARROW-Balmoral bounced back from a disappointing loss to Laharum to beat a depleted Pimpinio side by 104 points on Saturday.
Roos forward Tim Cogger booted five goals on his return from injury.
Chris and Scott Heath also played important roles for Harrow-Balmoral, which sits third – one game clear of nearest rival Kalkee.
Roos coach Brent Forsyth said he was happy with his side’s four-quarter effort.
“We put a few things in place with our defensive mindset after a disappointing game against Laharum,” he said.
“We wanted a bit more consistency in our performance.”
Forsyth said the addition of Cogger was important to the Roos’ attack as they kicked 20 goals to five in wet conditions.
“Tim came back in and he gave us a little bit of a missing spark,” he said.
“It was fantastic for him to have that sort of impact.”
Pimpinio coach Mal Coutts said he was proud of his team’s performance.
“We had five out last round and another five on Saturday – that’s 10 players out who have played senior footy this year,” he said.
While he admitted the result was undesirable, Coutts said it was an improved team effort.
“The intensity and willingness to work for each other – we’re improving on at that,” he said.
