FIVE Stawell residents face drug charges after a police crackdown.

Stawell Acting Sergeant Scott McKenzie said police searched a house in Stawell on Monday, and five other properties on Tuesday. 

They seized drugs, weapons and cash.

“Charges were laid in relation to trafficking, possessing and using illicit substances, and also for burglary, theft and possessing proceeds of crime,” Acting Sgt McKenzie said.

Two women and two men were charged and bailed to appear in Stawell Magistrate’s Court.

A teenager will face Children’s Court on charges of having trafficked, possessed and used a drug of dependence, namely ice.

Acting Sgt McKenzie said a sixth person had been cautioned for possession and use of cannabis.
